The Influencers ministry lost one of its most beloved men and ministers this week.  Sam Parsons has been singing and leading worship for The Influencers in Orange County as well as in several of our ministries around our different regions for over 20 years.

Sam was born and raised in Texas and even though the Lord called him to other places around the country and the world, he was rooted in personality and heart in Texas.  It was a big part of his charm, wit, and wisdom.

Sam had a million dollar smile to go along with his shepherd’s heart and his wonderful gift and talent as a worship leader and song writer.    He was a humble servant who could powerfully usher a group of men into the presence of the Lord with his unique musical gifts and talent.  He also had the ability to teach deep truths by telling stories and imparting down home Texas wisdom and sayings and truth from the Word of God.

Sam was deeply committed to Jesus Christ and to sharing His gospel.  He shared it as a career in nursing homes and hospitals for over 30 years.  He led an untold number of residents of these homes and patients in hospitals to the Lord as he in his winsome way revealed the Lord Jesus to all who were graced by his presence and singing.

Sam lost the love of his life, Colleen, a couple of years ago as she preceded him into heaven.  It brings a smile to all of our faces who knew them as we think of them now being reunited in the presence of the Lord.  Sam is survived by his four children, Nick, from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Travis and Alyssa and Natasha who live in Orange County, CA, as well as several grandchildren.

“Some people come into our lives and quickly go, while others leave footprints on our hearts that last forever.”

Sam has left footprints on our hearts in many ways and we will never forget him and the tremendous contribution he made to the Influencers ministry.
