Influencers Anaheim Developing

A few short years ago, I became reacquainted with Pete McKenzie of Influencers – Orange County. I had known Pete as a pastor of men’s ministry. Our lives went different directions until we were reunited, after thirty years, at an Influencers gathering. He introduced me to the vision of Influencers Global Ministries, and I was immediately impacted emotionally and spiritually. After years of fellowship, informal bible studies, formal bible education, church ministries and church eldership, Pete showed me a path that connected the dots for spiritual growth – The Influencers Journey. The dots connected the relationship of a believer to an intimate abiding relationship with Christ that produced fruit (Galatians 5:22). That fruit enabled the spiritual gifts that we are all given upon a profession of faith; thus, we can be used as a laborer for Christ to fulfill Christ’s directives listed below:

1. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations (Matthew 28:19)
2. … Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel…. (Mark 16:15)
3. … you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

The “Journey” that I took with several other men caused me to rethink the next season of my life. I had previously completed a three-year program of finding my Kingdom Calling and engaging in Kingdom work, but I had not taken the first step of putting knowledge into action. The Influencers Journey was that first next step! To date, we have approximately 40 men who are on the journey. This is a journey that does not end until we each see our King face-to-face. This is a journey where we learn to live our faith as a lifestyle, not an event on Sunday mornings. This is a journey where we worship our Lord along the way for, we are living in His sovereign plan. J. Vernon McGee put it this way, “God is perfect and infinite in all His attributes. When He choose the plan of redemption, He had infinite choices, and, it too was the perfect plan, therefore, we get to live in God’s perfect plan for our lives.” Ultimately, we are on a journey to become self-feeders and partner with God to influence His world as we maintain our sacred responsibility to take the opportunity to worship Him all along the way. I invite you to come with me on a journey with like-minded men who want to be actively engaged in spiritual growth that affects themselves, their families, and the world around them in a positive way, all for the cause of Christ.
