A few weeks ago, I wrote about our enemy, the devil, and his vast organization of evil, all hell-bent on coming after those who belong to Christ...that's US! However, too often, we are his biggest advocates as we walk right into his traps. James 1:13-15 talks about how our evil desires allow us to be tempted. Jesus wants us to pray to head off temptation at the pass. God is greater than our enemy, and He knows our enemy's plans. He will help keep us safe and out of trouble.
Lord, forgive me for my own sinful nature, for allowing myself to be tempted, for flirting with danger. I can't believe how often I listen to the Tempter, to his lying words. He always wants to take me down a path which goes away from You. Lord, keep me from temptation. Thank You that You give me a way out of every temptation. Help me guard my heart and my mind in Jesus, taking every thought captive and making it submit to You. Lord, make me aware of the traps all around me. Help me see where I've allowed evil into my heart and into my house. Lord, help me clean my house of these demons. Help me fill my home with Your Spirit. Lord, if there are spiritual strongholds in my life, where I am in chains, please break my chains and set me free. Rescue me, Lord. Don't let me pass these strongholds to my children.
Father, I pray the Armor of God around myself and anyone out there in the battle. Lord, I pray the Belt of Truth around my waist, holding my spiritual armor together. I pray the Breastplate of Righteousness over my heart. I pray the Helmet of Salvation over my mind, reminding me to Whom I belong. I pray my feet are swift like the feet of a deer, ready to share the Good News of the Gospel, that Jesus Christ was born of God, died and rose from the dead so that those who believe in Him can have eternal life. I pray for the Shield of Faith that make me strong and impenetrable to the enemy's attacks. I pray the Sword of the Spirit, which is the mighty Word of God. It has power to destroy strongholds and to give life.
Lord, I lock my Shield of Faith into place with all the other shields out there, as we create a wall of protection. I pray that Influencers worldwide would band together in faith to protect each other. Lord if anyone reading this is isolated, please guide him back to the flock where he can find help. Lord, speak Truth into anyone who is trapped in sin. Let them know there is a way out. They can be redeemed and made pure by You. Spirit, do Your work right now as you convict the consciences of your men and women. Lord, we want to be above reproach. Guide us in the way everlasting.
Father, protect Influencers. As Rocky has said, the enemy will try to Divide us from each other or he will try to Divert our mission from that which You gave us. Please keep us alert and accountable to one another and dependent upon You for every step we take. Let it never be about us or what man can do. Let this ministry bear the supernatural fruit of Your Spirit. Lord, use Influencers as Your warriors to help rescue men and women all over this world.
For Yours is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory forever, Amen.
