Farewell to our Dear Brother, Mike Gooding

Our hearts are grieving at the heavenly departure of our Influencer brother Mike Gooding, from Bakersfield. Please keep Tara and the family in your prayers.

Mike Gooding was a man of deep integrity, unwavering honesty, and steadfast faith. A devoted husband to Tara of 45 years, a loving father to Tim and Toria, father-in-law to Travis and Courtney and a proud grandfather of Taylor, Tanner, Tenley, Katie and Caleb, Mike built his life on the foundation of family, faith, and hard work.

A respected oil man, Mike approached his profession with the same conscientiousness that defined every aspect of his life. He was known for his generosity, his no-nonsense honesty, and his ability to speak the truth with both clarity and compassion. He didn’t mince words, but he always spoke with purpose and care.

Athletic and competitive, Mike was a natural athlete and excelled at baseball, basketball and golf and remained active throughout his life. But more than his accomplishments or hobbies, he will be remembered for the way he fostered hope in others. He was a mentor to many, encouraging men to grow into strong, faithful leaders, and live as men of God. He loved to cook for Influencers events like M6, M24 and Romance Weekends. 

Mike’s legacy is one of integrity, generosity, and spiritual strength. He lived his values openly and authentically, leaving behind a powerful example for his family and all who knew him.

He will be deeply missed, but his impact will continue through the lives he touched and the love he gave so freely.

A Memorial service will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 10:00 AM at New Life Church (NW Campus), 1300 Jewetta Ave., Bakersfield, CA 93312
