Day Five
Fear Must Leave
Scripture:
“Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 (NASB)
Thought:
I realize that I feared a lot as a child, then as a young man and into my older years. This was true for Israel when God sent this message to them. It wasn’t until I claimed the promise in the passage that I began to find peace. Then peace became the climate, not a weather pattern in my life.
Application:
How many promises has God made to His family that have not been accepted? His promises are meant to encourage us, and comfort us, and yet we leave them in an unused place. The result is we struggle through life as if we have no help, and we have to battle through life like everyone else does. Does God want this for His child? How long I struggled with issues of fear that I could have entrusted and found peace with. When I finally released my illusion of control, I found peace.
Response:
Lord I see the connection. May it be that I am used to give this message to Your family. I can do it through the spoken and written words that I use, and as well my prayers. I submit to you this life to be Your messenger. Lord I ask that You empower my words to bring You great glory for as long as I live. I also ask that you help anyone who reads this blog to know that he or she has a very special gift to help others escape their fear. But they must escape it first. May it be that we walk out of our prisons of fear and find the freedom that You offer us. I ask this in Jesus Christ name.
Your Child
